First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study looked at why people with rheumatoid arthritis often miss out on cholesterol checks and treatments that can prevent heart attacks and strokes. Researchers worked with 101 adults aged 40-75 to develop and test a patient-centered program that includes education and support from a peer coach. The goal was to make it easier for patients to get their cholesterol tested and start medications if needed.
