Newborn heart health: What's normal?
NCT ID NCT06200519
First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looks at how well the heart relaxes and fills with blood (diastolic function) in newborns born at 35 weeks or later. Researchers will perform four heart ultrasounds over the first year of life to create normal reference values and see how factors like mother's health and birth conditions affect heart function. The goal is to better understand heart health in infants, not to test a treatment.
