First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at how well the heart relaxes and fills with blood (diastolic function) in newborns born at 35 weeks or later. Researchers will use ultrasound to measure heart function in 216 babies shortly after birth and again in infancy. The goal is to create normal reference ranges and understand how factors like mother's health or birth conditions affect heart function.
