Could a simple injection after a heart attack stop heart failure?

Summary
This study is testing whether a short course of an anti-inflammatory drug (anakinra) can prevent heart failure in people who have just had a heart attack. Researchers believe the body's inflammatory response to the heart attack may contribute to future heart weakness. About 84 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo via daily injections for two weeks and be followed for one year to see if it protects their heart function.
