First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a 6-month nurse-led health coaching program for 120 older adults who want to stay healthy and independent at home. Participants get personalized virtual coaching, health tracking tools, and monthly check-ins. The goal is to improve self-care, health habits, and quality of life so they can age in place longer.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Nurse-led health coaching
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this program could help older adults stay healthier and independent at home longer, reducing the need for nursing homes.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage study with no control group, so results may not prove the program works better than usual care. It also requires computer skills, which may limit who can benefit.
