First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested whether healthcare providers can help low-income parents file taxes and receive tax credits by referring them to a tax filing app. Twenty-one parents with young children took part, and researchers checked if they filed taxes and how their health changed over time. The goal was to see if this approach is practical and could improve family well-being.
