Summary

This study looks at whether health education from nurses can improve quality of life and reduce anxiety and depression in people who have a stoma after digestive surgery. About 70 adults with a permanent or long-term ostomy will take part. They will attend workshops and get follow-up care to see if their emotional and physical well-being improves.
