First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at whether doing handgrip exercises before and after surgery can improve the size and function of dialysis fistulas in people with advanced kidney disease. 40 patients participated, and the goal was to see if the exercises helped the fistula mature enough for effective dialysis. The approach is simple and non-invasive, aiming to reduce the high failure rate of these fistulas.
