Could a Half-Dose malaria vaccine save more lives?

NCT ID NCT07194668

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving a half-dose of the R21/Matrix-M malaria vaccine works as well as the full dose in adults and teens aged 14 to 60. About 375 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the full dose or one of two half-dose versions. If successful, using half-doses could allow more people to be vaccinated with the same supply, helping to prevent malaria more widely.
