Summary
This study aims to understand how severe obesity and weight-loss surgery affect the natural chemicals in a person's scalp hair over time. Researchers will follow 60 people—30 with severe obesity having surgery and 30 healthy-weight individuals—to measure hair chemicals, hair loss, and muscle strength. The goal is to see if hair analysis can become a useful tool for tracking metabolic health.
