First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests whether providing home-delivered meals and extra dietary advice helps older veterans with heart failure recover better after leaving the hospital. About 1,400 veterans aged 60 and older will be randomly assigned to receive either the meal support plus standard care or standard care alone. The goal is to see if the meals keep them out of the hospital and improve their quality of life.
