First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at 90 veterans with obesity who took GLP-1 medicines (semaglutide or tirzepatide) for six months. Researchers found that participants reported significant improvements in depression symptoms, eating disorder behaviors, and quality of life—including less pain and better sleep. The findings suggest these drugs may offer mental health benefits beyond weight loss.
