Tailored care for seniors with bladder cancer aims to cut hospital time

NCT ID NCT05679557

First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) before and after bladder cancer surgery can help older, frail patients recover faster. About 140 patients aged 65 and older who are scheduled for cystectomy will receive either standard care or a CGA with a personalized care plan. The main goal is to see if this approach increases the number of days patients are alive and out of the hospital within 90 days after surgery.
