First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This small pilot study tested a treatment called genicular nerve radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for people with long-term knee pain after a total knee replacement. The treatment uses heat to calm specific nerves around the knee. Five adults aged 30 to 90 who had at least one year of pain after surgery took part. The goal was to see if the procedure could reduce pain levels.
