Sedation levels may impact gallstone procedure success
NCT ID NCT07205380
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study examined over 121,000 ERCP procedures for gallstone removal to see if the level of sedation affects how well the stones are cleared. Researchers found that deeper sedation may help doctors remove stones more successfully the first time. The goal was to learn which sedation approach works best, not to test a new treatment.
