First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looked at whether eating carbohydrates at the end of a meal (instead of the start) changes blood sugar levels in 22 elite female athletes. Participants wore a continuous glucose monitor for 6 days and followed different meal sequences. The goal was to see if food order could help manage glucose responses during training and rest.
