Summary
This study looked at how certain carbohydrates (FODMAPs) directly affect colon movement and symptoms in 15 healthy volunteers. Participants had three colonoscopies to measure colon pressures and receive FODMAPs. The goal is to better understand what triggers symptoms in people with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
