Summary
This study tested whether 10 months of flywheel resistance training (a type of exercise that focuses on muscle lengthening) is better than traditional resistance training for reducing depressive symptoms and improving physical and thinking abilities in older women who are sedentary. 64 women aged 60 and older participated. The goal was to see if this exercise approach is safe and effective for boosting mood, mobility, and quality of life.
