Fisetin flops or walks? pilot study targets aging cells to boost mobility

NCT ID NCT06399809

First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests whether fisetin, a compound found in fruits, can reduce aging-related cells in the body and improve walking ability in 34 people aged 50+ with peripheral artery disease (PAD). Participants will take fisetin or a placebo for several months, and researchers will measure changes in walking distance and strength. The goal is to see if clearing these cells can ease leg pain and mobility issues.
