Eye scans reveal hidden clues in fibromyalgia patients

NCT ID NCT07345546

First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looked at 80 people—half with fibromyalgia and half healthy—to see if problems with the autonomic nervous system (which controls automatic body functions) are linked to changes in eye blood vessels. Researchers used a special eye scan to measure blood vessel structure. The goal was to better understand fibromyalgia, not to test a treatment.
