Eye scans reveal hidden clues in fibromyalgia patients
NCT ID NCT07345546
First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at 80 people—half with fibromyalgia and half healthy—to see if problems with the autonomic nervous system (which controls automatic body functions) are linked to changes in blood vessels at the back of the eye. Researchers used a special eye scan to measure these vessels and compared results with symptom questionnaires. The goal was to better understand fibromyalgia, not to test a treatment.
