Scientists probe link between 'Brain Fog' and chronic pain
NCT ID NCT06948903
Summary
This study aims to understand how a condition called 'central sensitization'—where the nervous system becomes overly sensitive to pain—might be connected to memory and thinking problems (often called 'brain fog') in people with fibromyalgia. Researchers will enroll 100 adults with fibromyalgia to complete questionnaires and cognitive tests. The goal is to gather knowledge about these symptoms to potentially guide future treatments, but this study itself does not test a new therapy.
