Surgical glue tested to ease pain and speed recovery after knee surgery
NCT ID NCT07455591
Summary
This study tested if adding a special surgical glue (fibrin sealant) to a standard medication (TXA) could help people recover better after knee replacement surgery. 78 patients having surgery for severe knee arthritis were randomly assigned to receive either the standard medication alone or the medication plus the glue. Researchers measured pain, movement, and walking ability the day after surgery, and knee function and quality of life six months later.
