Could a scan predict a Newborn's first breath?
NCT ID NCT04186039
Summary
This study aimed to test a special type of MRI scan on unborn babies diagnosed with certain birth defects, like a hole in the diaphragm or abdominal wall. The goal was to see if the scan's measurements of blood oxygen in the fetal lungs could predict how well the baby would breathe after birth. The trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
