Summary
This study looked at whether ferumoxytol, an iron-based contrast agent, can help spot inflammation in the brains of people with multiple sclerosis (MS) using a powerful 7 Tesla MRI. Fourteen participants (some with MS, some healthy) received ferumoxytol and had multiple MRI scans over six months. The goal was to see if the drug safely highlights inflammation without causing long-term changes in the brain.
