Summary

This study compares two drugs—fenofibrate (a cholesterol medicine) and silymarin (a milk thistle extract)—in 66 adults with sepsis, a life-threatening infection that can cause organ failure. The goal is to see which drug better reduces inflammation and organ damage. Participants must be 18 or older and diagnosed with sepsis; those with severe organ failure or certain pre-existing conditions cannot join.
