Summary
This study compares two drugs—fenofibrate (a cholesterol medicine) and silymarin (a milk thistle extract)—in 66 adults with sepsis, a life-threatening infection that causes organ failure. The goal is to see which drug better reduces harmful inflammation and organ damage. Participants must be 18 or older and diagnosed with sepsis, but those with severe organ failure or certain pre-existing conditions cannot join.
