First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether fenofibrate, a drug used for high cholesterol, can reduce nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) caused by standard chemotherapy for multiple myeloma. About 44 newly diagnosed patients will receive either chemotherapy alone or chemotherapy plus fenofibrate. Researchers will track nerve symptoms and blood markers to see if fenofibrate offers protection.
