First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether fenofibrate, a medicine usually used for high cholesterol, can reduce nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) caused by a common chemotherapy combination for multiple myeloma. About 44 newly diagnosed patients will receive either standard chemo alone or chemo plus fenofibrate. Researchers will track nerve symptoms and blood markers to see if fenofibrate offers protection.
