Your own fat could be the key to easing chronic wound pain
NCT ID NCT07480447
Summary
This study is testing whether injecting a patient's own fat tissue into a chronic wound can reduce pain and help it heal better than standard wound care alone. Researchers will enroll 62 adults with wounds that have lasted over 3 months and randomly assign them to receive either the fat injection plus standard care or just standard care. The main goal is to see if the fat grafting procedure safely lowers daily pain scores over 21 days.
