Scientists probe how the Brain's 'Quick Glances' fight blurry vision
NCT ID NCT04268615
Summary
This study aimed to understand how people with severe damage to both inner ears (bilateral vestibular hypofunction) use very fast, automatic eye movements to see clearly when they turn their heads. Researchers compared these quick eye movements in 12 patients with the condition to 12 healthy volunteers. The goal was to learn what triggers these movements, which could help explain how some patients cope with vision problems caused by their balance disorder.
