Summary
This study tests whether a simple writing exercise can help people recently diagnosed with breast cancer feel better emotionally. Participants will write about their cancer experience for 20 minutes, once a week for four weeks. The study will measure quality of life through questionnaires at three different times. It involves 272 adults who are scheduled for breast cancer surgery and have not had prior breast cancer.
