Study tests if getting active can build stronger bones in kids with IBD
NCT ID NCT03774329
Summary
This study tested whether a guided physical activity program could help improve bone mineral density in children and teenagers with chronic inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. It involved 15 young participants who followed the exercise program. The goal was to see if increased activity could strengthen bones and reduce fracture risk, which is a common concern for kids with IBD.
