Walking the walk: exercise may ease side effects of breast cancer radiation

NCT ID NCT07583719

First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether a supervised, moderate-intensity interval walking program can reduce inflammation, improve physical fitness, and enhance quality of life in women with breast cancer who are undergoing radiotherapy. Forty women aged 20-65 with early-stage breast cancer will be randomly assigned to either the exercise program or usual care. Researchers will measure blood markers, body composition, muscle strength, sleep, and quality of life before and after the intervention.
