Liver biopsy showdown: EUS or needle – patients decide!
NCT ID NCT07506642
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compared how patients feel about two ways to take a small sample of liver tissue: one using a needle through the skin (percutaneous) and another using a thin tube through the mouth (EUS-guided). 102 adults with chronic liver disease were randomly assigned to one method and then filled out a questionnaire about their experience. The goal was to find out which method patients tolerate better.
