New study tests gentler anesthesia for common surgery
NCT ID NCT07019818
Summary
This study compares two different anesthesia drugs used during outpatient gallbladder removal surgery. Researchers want to see if a drug called Esmolol provides similar patient comfort and recovery quality as the commonly used morphine-based drug Sufentanil, but with potentially fewer side effects like nausea. The study will involve 120 adults having this common procedure and will measure their recovery experience the day after surgery.
