Summary
This study looked at whether empagliflozin, a medicine already used for diabetes and heart failure, can improve heart structure and function in people with diabetes who had a major heart attack. 200 participants received either 10 mg or 25 mg of the drug and were monitored for 6 months. The goal was to see if the drug could reverse harmful heart changes and improve pumping strength.
