Summary
This study looked at whether empagliflozin, a medicine already used for diabetes and heart conditions, can improve heart structure and function in diabetic patients who had a major heart attack. 200 participants took the drug and had their hearts checked over 6 months. The goal was to see if the drug helps the heart remodel and pump better, potentially leading to better long-term health.
