New program aims to speed up cancer care for ER patients

NCT ID NCT07225725

Summary

This pilot study is testing a community health support program designed to help head and neck cancer patients who first go to the emergency room. The program connects patients with a specialist who helps them overcome common barriers like transportation or insurance issues, aiming to get them to their biopsy and treatment faster. Researchers will enroll 24 patients to see if this approach is feasible and measure if it reduces delays compared to past patients who did not have this support.
