New program aims to speed up cancer care for emergency room patients
NCT ID NCT07225725
Summary
This pilot study is testing a community health support program designed to help head and neck cancer patients who first go to the emergency room. The program connects patients with a specialist who helps them overcome common barriers like transportation or insurance issues to get faster diagnosis and treatment. Researchers will enroll 24 patients to see if this approach is feasible and can reduce treatment delays compared to past patients.
