First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study compares two techniques—radiofrequency and pulse field ablation—to treat persistent atrial fibrillation, a condition where the heart beats irregularly. Researchers will check which method better isolates the areas causing the problem and keeps the heart in normal rhythm for up to a year. The study involves 50 adults who have not had prior ablation or heart surgery.
