First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study compares two techniques—radiofrequency and pulsed field ablation—to treat persistent atrial fibrillation, a heart rhythm disorder. About 50 adults with the condition will receive one of the two procedures. The goal is to see which method better creates lasting isolation of the abnormal electrical signals in the heart, helping restore a normal rhythm.
