First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding an electrolysed saline mouthwash to standard deep-cleaning treatment helps people with advanced gum disease (stage III periodontitis). Sixty adults will be randomly assigned to use either the saline rinse, a standard antiseptic rinse, or a placebo mouthwash for one month. The goal is to see if the saline rinse reduces the number of deep gum pockets and bleeding compared to the other options.
