New prostate surgery may preserve ejaculation without sacrificing urinary relief

Summary
This study tests a modified prostate surgery that aims to preserve ejaculation while still relieving urinary problems caused by an enlarged prostate. About 336 men over 40 with moderate to severe symptoms will be randomly assigned to either the new partial surgery or the standard complete surgery. The main goal is to see if the new method works just as well for urinary symptoms while protecting sexual function.
