First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using an EEG (brain wave monitor) during general anesthesia can reduce confusion and pain after dental surgery in children. 92 kids aged 4-10 were split into two groups: one with standard monitoring and one with added EEG guidance. The goal was to see if EEG helps doctors use less anesthesia and improve recovery.
