Bone blood flow secrets revealed by ultrasound
NCT ID NCT06206031
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tested a new ultrasound method to measure blood flow inside the shin bone of 30 healthy men. The goal was to see if the technique can detect changes in bone blood flow during simple activities like squeezing a handgrip or having a blood pressure cuff inflated. This is an early step toward using the method in astronauts to understand how space affects bones.
