Nutritional drink may cut chemo side effects in advanced GI cancers

NCT ID NCT07590622

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether a high-calorie, high-protein nutritional drink with added immune-supporting ingredients can lower the risk of serious side effects in people with advanced gastrointestinal cancers receiving their first systemic treatment. About 88 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the special drink plus nutritional counseling or standard care. The main goal is to see if the drink reduces severe treatment-related complications.
