Race against time: new surgery aims to save brain function after major stroke

Summary
This study is testing whether performing a minimally invasive surgery to remove a blood clot from the brain within 8 hours of a severe stroke leads to better recovery than standard medical care. It will involve 240 adults who have had a significant brain bleed. The main goal is to see if patients who get the early surgery are more likely to regain independence in their daily lives six months later.
