First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated Jun 20, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested whether a medication called d-cycloserine, combined with using a Juul e-cigarette, helps smokers switch completely from regular cigarettes. Twenty-five adult smokers who wanted to switch took d-cycloserine daily for six weeks and used Juul as much as they liked. The goal was to see if this approach could speed up learning new habits and reduce smoking.
