Tiny hand nerves may hold key to Dupuytren's return

NCT ID NCT06142929

First seen Mar 23, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at tiny nerve bundles found in the hand tissue of people with Dupuytren disease, a condition that causes fingers to curl inward. Researchers want to see if removing these nerves during surgery affects whether the disease comes back. They will study tissue samples from 80 adults having surgery to check for nerve-related changes and pain.
